Inclind Inc Launches Baywood Greens, a Tunnell Companies LP

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Inclind Inc announces the launch of a new, contemporary website this week for Baywood Greens of Long Neck, DE.

Baywood Greens is a scenic golf course community located just off Route 24 in Long Neck, DE.  This quaint location provides easy access to both the towns of Rehoboth and Millsboro while offering quiet, luxury homes in resort style living surrounded by an exclusively public 18 hole golf course. The Baywood Greens Clubhouse is host to a restaurant as well as a banquet facility, weddings, and other events.

The inventive new website contains numerous improvements with new features like virtual 3D golf course fly over videos of the new Duneside 9 holes, an interactive event calendar, current weather conditions, and abundant photo galleries of floral arrangements, gardens, weddings, and events. The golf course section website includes new pictures for each hole.

“We could not be happier with the site and we had a great experience working with the Inclind Inc team. The whole project was handled very professionally. We love it!” says Mark Coty, General Manager of Baywood Greens.

About Baywood Greens:

Robert W. Tunnell, Jr., principal of Tunnell Companies, is the visionary behind Baywood Greens golf course, the Clubhouse, Communities, and all their amenities. It has taken a lot of hard work, skill and determination to make his vision come to life. Now that it is finally here you can come and experience the beauty of it first hand.

The initial layout and design of the course was by Bill Love ASGCA (formally of Ault, Clark and Associates). Final design was completed by land sculpture extraordinaire Larry Dewitt and owner/developer Rob Tunnell, who turned original sketches into a work of art.

Baywood Greens is a public golf club located in Long Neck, Delaware that is consistently rated as one of the very best in the state.

The front nine holes are nicknamed the “Woods Nine”, while the back nine holes carry the “Water Nine” nickname. A third 9-hole grouping is planned on the north side of Route 24, which is supposed to be the “Sand Nine”.

The course is noted for having over 200,000 flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees that decorate the playing area.

With the future construction of a large hotel, the owners hope to vie for PGA tournament status.

Stylus for iPhone / iPod Touch

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

There’s no doubt that the iPhone / iPod touch are the worlds smallest efficient mobile multimedia devices, but its one drawback echoed around the world is the varying difficulty users have in typing on it. If you have large fingers, you may register a few letters or multiple keypresses in one touch. This can make texting, emailing, and typing URLs frustrating. What’s a discouraged user to do?

Thankfully, there is a solution. The good folks at Ten One Design came up with a stylus unique for the iPhone / iPod Touch glass surface- a felt tipped stylus. Not only can this be used to make you a more efficient typer, but it can double as a drawing tool as well for drawing or sketching applications. Games that require sliding (such as Tetris, or Aurora Feint) can be better fit with the stylus as well, saving the screen from oil and smudges from dirty fingers.

Cuil Suhx

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Cuil. What is Cuil? How do you say Cuil? If anyone noticed in the last two days, a new internet upstart is claiming to be better than Google at searching. Cuil is pronounced ‘cool’ and is anything but. Better than Google at searching? Pretty bold claim. Bold enough to make major headlines at a lot of news outlets and websites, which was probably the goal anyway, generate buzz.

Well, egg on the face my friends. The only reason Cuil’s search index is bigger is because their contextual and ranking algorithms suck. Try any kind of broad term in Cuil and you’ll typically get back pages and pages of linkbait / linkfarm sites. Found that out on the second search, first, trying my full name, and then, a targeted phrase. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Cuil is nowhere near Google in terms of search relevance. Looks like they got ahead of themselves with the announcement and now look quite foolish.

Besides, what good is a search index of 121 jillion pages if results on the first 5 pages aren’t worth jack? Statistics show that most users will try a new search after reaching the third page, if they even bother to go that far.

Cuil suhx. But for the curious… http://www.cuil.com

Top 5 Best iPhone Apps

Monday, July 28th, 2008

I love my iPod Touch. I was a bit weary back in March about the decision to buy the 32GB model but now it’s paid off. With the recent firmware update (available for 10 bucks through iTunes) comes a new little program called AppStore. AppStore is basically iTunes for iPhone/iPod specific software, with plenty of freebies. There has always been the ability to run Web Apps, which is to say connecting to a website and running an application- but this is so much better. This lets you download software to keep, more responsive, more slick, and better designed.

The LAMP Stack Technology

Friday, July 25th, 2008

What is the LAMP stack?

LAMP stands for Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (or Perl or Python). Used together, they represent the most popular and most powerful form of web servers and website hosting.

All of our websites are hosted on LAMP servers, even Adobe Coldfusion based websites (where normally Coldfusion Server is best set for a Windows Server environment).

Why should your website be LAMP powered (or at least hosted on Linux)? Read on »
